This idea sparked off from a scene in ๐™’๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™˜๐™ & ๐™’๐™ž๐™ฏ๐™–๐™ง๐™™: ๐™๐™๐™š ๐™๐™ž๐™ง๐™š by James Patterson, the third book in the W&W series, when Wisty Allgood, in disguise with her magic, was scrubbing the barracks with a toothbrush along with her fellow New Order youths, and The Oneโ€™s protege Pearce comes in, recognises her, and assaults her with a kiss for the first time. Iโ€™ve found Pearce strangely alluring and captivating ever since that perverted, intimate scene between him and Wisty in ๐™๐™๐™š ๐™๐™ž๐™ง๐™š. From then on their dynamic became incredibly engrossing and intoxicating to me; I started shipping them so hard!

ANYWAY... I couldnโ€™t help visualising how it would play out in a movie. I kept seeing this image of two young peopleโ€”pretty much Pearce and Wistyโ€”looking at something that had disrupted them from the side at a distance. Their expressions were startled and perturbed, since the disturbance was sudden and unexpected. The image wasnโ€™t a part of the scene in ๐™๐™๐™š ๐™๐™ž๐™ง๐™š, but I kept seeing it and the possibility of it playing out in a movie in my head. It was imprinted so strongly. I thought it would look pretty good, riveting and intriguingโ€”in my opinion. Besides, I love to illustrate scenes in mid-motion, as if itโ€™s from a book or movie put on pause, so thatโ€™s why I drew THIS.

Probably shouldโ€™ve painted it to make it look more realistic, but the expressions I got them pretty much how I visualised them to be.
