Creation Process

created from imagination

February 2022

A big challenge I faced when creating these kinds of abstract acrylic pour art was that the mixture of acrylic paint, water and pouring medium I created was often too fluid, runny and thin, and would very easily flow and drip off the canvases even when I wasn't tilting them and they were lying still on the table. This was particularly the case when I was creating this piece. It had been a hindrance for me to be able to achieve the splendid and marvelous patterns, shapes and cells that I desired, and sometimes the end result looked more like a twisting, slushy mess of lines and goo that were very bland, featureless and dull. Therefore for ๐™๐™ง๐™š๐™–๐™˜๐™ก๐™ฎ ๐˜พ๐™ค๐™ฅ๐™ฅ๐™š๐™ง ๐˜ฟ๐™ง๐™ž๐™ฅ๐™จ ๐™ˆ๐™ค๐™ง๐™š ๐™‹๐™ง๐™š๐™˜๐™ž๐™ค๐™ช๐™จ ๐™๐™๐™–๐™ฃ ๐™‚๐™ค๐™ก๐™™ I had to make enhancements and modifications afterwards. And yes, I added silicone oil to create the 'cell effect!'
