A big challenge I faced when creating these kinds of abstract acrylic pour art was that the mixture of acrylic paint, water and pouring medium I created was often too fluid, runny and thin, and would very easily flow and drip off the canvases even when I wasn't tilting them and they were lying still on the table. This was particularly the case when I was creating this piece. It had been a hindrance for me to be able to achieve the splendid and marvelous patterns, shapes and cells that I desired, and sometimes the end result looked more like a twisting, slushy mess of lines and goo that were very bland, featureless and dull.
